Meet the Team: Ashley – Event Manager

We could not bring all of these incredible Events to life without our team of ladies working hard behind the scenes! Ashley has been with the team over 3 years and has become an integral part of our planning team. She continues to dazzle clients with her positive attitude and attention to details and can always be counted on to execute every logistic with a passion and expertise that allows her clients to enjoy their event without a worry. We love having her on the team and here's little bit more about her!

Ashley Auger – Event Manager

What drew you to working in the event industry?

In the event industry, no two days are ever the same and this was a huge draw for me. I’m not the type of person that can sit at a desk for 8 hours a day - so I love the constantly changing scenery, getting to interact with new clients and building relationships with vendors. Working in the events industry can be high stress at times, but I love quick problem solving and thinking on my feet!

What type of Events are your favorite?

I love working large scale events that bring people together! Whether it’s a professional conference or a brand activation, I love getting to plan and execute events that promote teamwork and networking - and then getting to see groups of different people come together to enjoy an event and collaborate! I am also grateful for our returning clients and love getting to plan annual events with these teams year after year.

What’s a dream venue or destination where you’d love to plan an event?

There are so many places I’d love to plan an event, it’s hard to choose! I’d love to plan a corporate retreat somewhere in the mountains - imagine a snowy, cozy retreat for your clients or team to network and team build?! Another bucket list event would be anything International – although planning International events comes with its own set of difficulties, I would love the challenge to plan in a different country and build relationships with other vendors and event professionals across the globe. And getting to explore a new city while there for the event is always a great perk!

What’s your biggest piece of advice for clients planning Events?

Always make decisions with your guests in mind! Ensuring that your guests are properly taken care of and considered when planning your event is key – you want people to walk away feeling wow-ed by your event. Another tip we always give our clients is to focus on the bigger picture. Its so easy to get tied up in small decisions while event planning, but think about what will be most impactful to your guests and focus your time and energy there.

Also, get a professional Event Planner/Manager on your team! We have done this before and can be there to help when the unexpected comes up (and it will). Event planning can be stressful and if you have never planned a large scale event before, there may be things you never even thought to consider while planning - and this is where the professionals come in! We promise, a professional planner will pay for themselves time and time again!

What do you like to do when you’re not planning Events?

I’m a bookworm so in my free time I love reading and spending time perusing local bookshops. I also enjoy traveling and learning about different cultures and food of the world, cooking and spending time with my family. You will also never catch me without a cup of coffee in my hand!
